Duties Day, JCI Bandar Setia Alam, together with co-host chapters JCI Achiever, JCI Bandar Kajang, JCI Bukit Bintang, JCI Entrepreneur, JCI Entrepreneur Metropolitan Kuala Lumpur, JCI Kuala Lumpur Mandarin, JCI Mines, JCI Petaling Jaya and JCI Seremban, successfully organised
KitaCare 2.0: Lights, Love & Lifelines, a two-day community initiative that transformed the principles of human duty into meaningful action through health, education and service.
Held at Amerin Mall, Seri Kembangan, the project formed part of the JCI Global Human Duties Rally 2026, encouraging individuals and organisations to recognise that while every person enjoys human rights, each of us also shares a responsibility to contribute positively towards society.
Guided by the JCI Creed, “Service to Humanity is the Best Work of Life,” KitaCare 2.0 united government agencies, healthcare professionals, corporate partners, volunteers
and members of the public to create lasting impact through collaboration and
compassion.
The initiative supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Saving Lives Through Blood Donation
One of the event’s key highlights was the two-day Blood Donation Drive, where 141 bags of blood were successfully collected. Every donation represents an opportunity to save lives and contributes towards strengthening Malaysia’s blood supply for patients in need.
The overwhelming response demonstrated the community’s willingness to fulfil one of the most meaningful human duties—giving selflessly to help others.
Empowering Communities with Life-Saving Knowledge
KitaCare 2.0 also organised the React Right Public Safety Workshop, attended by 19 participants, where attendees learned essential first aid knowledge, emergency response techniques and public safety awareness. The workshop equipped participants with practical skills that could one day help save lives during emergencies.
Building Partnerships Through Business
Recognizing that sustainable community development requires strong collaboration, the
project also hosted the JCI In Business (JIB) Networking Session, bringing together
29 entrepreneurs, professionals and business owners to exchange ideas, foster partnerships and explore opportunities to create greater social impact through business.
The networking session reinforced the belief that businesses play an essential role in driving positive change beyond commercial success.

Bringing Joy to Children
The celebration concluded with a heartwarming Movie Edutainment Program,
attended by 150 participants, including 60 children from three children’s homes: Guardian Angels Home, Good Samaritan Home. and Triniti Children’s Home.
Beyond the movie screening, the children enjoyed meals, gifts, meaningful interactions
and quality time with volunteers. The program was designed to create cherished memories while reminding every child that they are valued, loved and supported by the wider community.
A Community United for Good
KitaCare 2.0 also featured 17 community and exhibition booths, providing visitors
with opportunities to learn about healthcare, community services, volunteerism and local
initiatives while connecting organizations with the public.
The success of the project was made possible through the collective support of healthcare partners, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, government agencies, community organizations and members of the public, whose generosity and commitment transformed the event into a celebration of compassion and responsible citizenship.

Continuing the Spirit of Human Duties
As part of the global movement celebrating International Human Duties Day, KitaCare 2.0 demonstrated how local communities can create global impact by embracing compassion, volunteerism and shared responsibility.
JCI Bandar Setia Alam extends its heartfelt appreciation to all co-host chapters, strategic partners, sponsors, exhibitors, healthcare professionals, volunteers and participants whose support made KitaCare 2.0 a meaningful success.
Together, the community demonstrated that when people embrace not only their rights but also their duties, small acts of kindness can inspire extraordinary change.
